More from Halloween

H-A-double L - O - double U - double E -N

Have you ever seen a more frightening sight? Just wait . . .

Keep waiting . . .
Justin and a co-worker made this costume at work.
Rah!
Jude is supposed to be the Hulk though many people understadably mistook him for Frankenstein.

Justin was a very tall baby for Halloween. I made a huge cape that he draped around miles and he put Miles on his shoulders. You couldn't see Justin at all, just an enormous baby. No picture though. We took some when my parents were here. Could you please send them our way?

A load of candy as always.

Eden up at bat

video
Eden has been able to start playing T-ball with Natalie for the next few weeks while we are here in Idaho. She went to one practice on Mon, and then had a game on Tues. It didn't even dawn on me, but as she was timidly walking on to the field for practice she turns to me with her mitt and says, "How do you put this on?" She kept on trying to throw the ball with her mitt hand. Her shirt goes down to her ankles, and she has to hold the helmet and her glasses the whole time she runs just to keep them on. Pretty fun. From the video you can tell, she is already much improved.

Dance Recital

Warning: Joel and Sarah, you probably don't want your girls to see this, or they will never stop bugging you about putting them in ballet!

Tragedy Strikes Deep at the Flake Household

Anyone who knows Eden Flake, also knows her blanket. Well, the blanket is no longer. She has had this blanket since she was born, and always loved it. She caresses the triagles on the edges each night and sucks her tongue (a bizarre carry over from nursing). This is how she has fallen asleep for all of her nearly six years. It has taken a beating over all this time and after much stitching and patching has finally become irreperable.
She loves this blanket so much that there are rules and it can only be had at night time. So we put it in various place to hide it each day. About two weeks ago, I put it in the top of her closet. It got burnt by the light bulb at the top, as can be seen in the picture. Luckily Justin found it before our whole house, burnt down, too. Although that might have been a blessing in disguise. Justin called me in for a secret meeting to discuss our course of action upon finding this tragedy. We told her, and she took it reasonably well. The following picture shows her feelings even now. The reason it took me two weeks to put this up is because she would not pose for any pictures with her blanket because it made her too sad.

RIP: Blankie
We have loved and lost but never so deeply.
