Tragedy Strikes Deep at the Flake Household
She loves this blanket so much that there are rules and it can only be had at night time. So we put it in various place to hide it each day. About two weeks ago, I put it in the top of her closet. It got burnt by the light bulb at the top, as can be seen in the picture. Luckily Justin found it before our whole house, burnt down, too. Although that might have been a blessing in disguise. Justin called me in for a secret meeting to discuss our course of action upon finding this tragedy. We told her, and she took it reasonably well. The following picture shows her feelings even now. The reason it took me two weeks to put this up is because she would not pose for any pictures with her blanket because it made her too sad.
We have loved and lost but never so deeply.

That is so, so sad. Poor little Eden.

This makes me want to cry and feel so sad. Much much more than the foam coming from Kelsey's nose on her face mold.
My brother threw away my best friend blankie when I wasn't paying attention. I've never gotten over the guilt I felt about leaving it alone with him. It's name was "kookoo." I still touch every blanket I see just to check if they can hold up to the "kookoo" standard. No luck yet. Eden, my heart goes out to you.
